My name is Ana Sarish, and I am running for Happy Valley City Council. I have deep roots in our community with three generations of my family living within this beautiful city.
I have worked as a mortgage advisor for two decades, helping other families secure their dream of tying into the fabric of our community. I have served in numerous roles - from creating and running a Chess Club at our elementary school, to assisting with Operation Santa. I have canvassed for our city’s recent police levy and participated in the hiring of our newest police officer. My positions on various committees have deepened my understanding of our city’s governance.
As our city continues to grow, we are at a crossroads. My vision for Happy Valley is fostering a healthy balance between family, business and government. For our expanding development, we will need to make choices for managing growth - welcoming businesses that enhance and support residents, creating new parks and recreation opportunities, and supporting housing security and sustainable living within our community.
As one of the fastest-growing cities in Oregon, our governance also needs robust systems for engaging residents. To honor the small town atmosphere we have grown to love, all of our community members need to feel connected and involved. As a local resident, your input and ideas matter!
If elected, I look forward to the collaborative opportunity for building the future of Happy Valley. Please consider casting your vote for Ana Sarish, and join me in this effort.
